Panoramic Photography › Introduction

Panoramic photography is a technique of photography, that captures images with elongated fields of view (i.e. wide format photography). An image showing a field of view approximating, or greater than, that of the human eye - about 160° by 75° - may be termed panoramic.

Although panoramic photography is a generic technique in photography, digital photography (image capturing and / or post possessing) enables the development of computerized technique (algorithms and software) for stitching single or multiple rows of individual images into a single high-resolution image with a large field of view.

This gallery of panoramic images is a lifetime evolving project that was started in 1997.
